Kathy Van Patten, Owner
Kathy Van Patten is the founder of award winning GYROTONIC® and Pilates studios including: GYROTONIC® Boston, Boston Bodyworks Studio, Movement Center of Boston, GYROTONIC® Manhattan in NYC, and GYROTONIC® Pacific Heghts in San Francisco.
Kathy has studied extensively with Juliu Horvath for over 20 years and is one of a select group of teachers who is authorized to conduct Certifications. She is certified in all courses offered in the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM®, is a Gyrotonic Specialized Master Trainer, as well as a GYROKINESIS® and Specialized Equipment Master Trainer.
Kathy has taught courses throughout the US and worldwide. She continues to travel worldwide to train teachers, having trained some of the very best Gyrotonic and Pilates teachers who are now Master Trainers, owners of successful studios, and leaders in their own right.
A native of Los Angeles, Christina Stroh began her love of movement at age two. A professionally trained ballet dancer of twenty years, Christina Stroh embraced Pilates, GYROTONIC® methodology and yoga principles to improve her body’s capabilities.
Thanks to the inspiration and mentoring of KathyVan Patten, Christina found her passion to teach at the very young age of eighteen. She has undergone years of extensive training, dedication and hard work to become one of the best movement educators in her field.
Christina is a Guest Teacher at GYROTONIC® Healdsburg.
Juliann has been teaching the GYROTONIC® Method since 2000, and is certified on all the Specialized Equipment, GYROKINESIS®, Gyrotonic Level 2, and is also a Gyrotonic Pre-Trainer.
As a professional dancer, Juliann has performed with Lines Ballet, San Francisco Opera, Kunst-Stoff and Stephen Pelton Dance Theater among others. Juliann also brings her interest in the theory and practice of mindfulness meditation to help her clients focus on connecting mind and body. Juliann currently lives in West sonoma County with her husband and son.
Rosie Cole Hagerman, CMT, originally from Sonoma County, California, began her career as a movement instructor and body worker in 1997. Rosie's love of dance and yoga led her to find Pilates. She became a certified Pilates instructor in 2000 and soon after created CenterPoint Pilates in Healdsburg, California with her husband, where she continues to teach today.
Training in the GYROTONIC® Expansion System has been a natural progression for Rosie. She is excited to be able to share her joy of movement and 'hands on' expertise through this extraordinary system.
Patricia Dale Roberts
Patricia Dale Roberts has intensively studied ballet most of her life; elevating her practice to professional level classes taught by many famous ballet principal dancers. Adding decades of a deeply committed Yoga and Pilates practice, her love of movement and body awareness was heightened. The GYROTONIC® Method, with its masterfully designed equipment and carefully crafted sequences, drove her passion to becoming a Gyrotonic Teacher.
Patricia is also a highly experienced and sought after Interior Designer and has her own business, PDRDesigns. She also lends her talents and expertise as a member of the San Francisco Ballet Auxillary.
